We will address the EU fire classification for construction products and the directive for Marine equipment, besides that we also make an overview of the national legislation for several interior applications.

Flame retardant plastics play an important role in our society. They are used in cases where there is a requirement to protect humans and property from a possible fire hazard. This presentation is intended to provide an overview of the commonly used flame retardant systems in plastics, the used test norms, the environmental regulation & compliance for FR plastics and the trends in flame retardancy. Additionally the recycling of FR containing plastics will also be considered.
