Comp2blades aims to develop a hightech blade and an innovative production process for small windmills with vertical axes.

Fairwind (constructor of vertical windmills) has created a consortium composed of the companies Aerofleet and Isomatex, and the research centres Cenaero and Centexbel, all being specialized in composites.

The research will allow to control the entire life cycle of a windmill blade (raw materials, construction, use and valorisation).

The results will enable Isomatex and Aerofleet to open new markets while Fairwind will reinforce its offer by a new generation of larger and more efficient windmills for SMEs, farmers and industries who desire to diminish their energy costs by using renewable energy.

Fairwind will commercialize the windmills which will be beneficial to both the partners and local employment.
