Well-equiped, creative MAKE LAB for experiments and product development

With its semi-industrial pilot lines dedicated to the development of high-end products & efficient processes, Centexbel-VKC assists companies in the search of new, original and successful (niche) products and in the implementation of new technologies.

The sum of our platforms allows us to cover the entire production process of the textile and plastic converting industry: from compounding virgin or recycled polymers, over extruding to coating and finishing.

Thanks to the integration of the different platforms in the Centexbel-VKC organisation, a complete range of tests can be performed on your prototypes and test samples, and the test results can subsequently be submitted to our experts for further advice and fine-tuning.

Yarn Extrusion

Yarn engineering lab

A combination of laboratory and pilot-line equipment allows you and our researchers to convert polymers into any type of textile yarns: yarns, monofilaments, tapes and bicomponent yarns.

Plastic Processing

From granulate to product and back

A complete set-up of compounders, extruders, injection moulding machinery, followed by a complete testing lab is at the disposal of the plastic converting industry for prototyping purposes or for the production of small series.

Textile & Composite Production

Technical textiles for medical and high-duty performances

Our textile platform in Grâce-Hollogne is equipped with several knitting, braiding and embroidery machines and with a weaving loom for the production of 2D and 3D structures.

3D Printing

Additive manufacturing

The 3D printing platform is an ideal environment to experiment with different additive manufacturing technologies enabling us to build 3D objects by adding layer-upon-layer of polymer materials.

Coating and Surface Treatment

Adding performances and value to textiles

The scale of the semi-industrial and labscale surface modification, coating and lamination linesdifferent pilot lines is appropriate for experimenting, rapid prototyping and the production of samples with a limited material use.
